Getting the answers you need shouldn’t be this hard. Here are the questions I hear most often.
What is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP)?
A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) is a certified professional trained to help clients understand how diet and lifestyle choices affect their health. NTPs are certified through the Nutritional Therapy Association and are not licensed dietitians or physicians. The focus is on education — helping clients identify patterns in their symptoms, understand the role of blood sugar and nutrition, and implement practical dietary and lifestyle strategies.
How is working with an NTP different from seeing a dietitian?
Registered Dietitians (RDs) are licensed healthcare providers who work within the medical system — often in clinical or hospital settings — providing medical nutrition therapy as part of a treatment plan. Nutritional Therapy Practitioners take a different approach — focusing on education and identifying physiological patterns, particularly around blood sugar and nutrition, that may be contributing to how you feel. An NTP helps you understand the connections between what you eat and your symptoms, and provides practical strategies you can implement right away.
Can Premeditated Health help with blood sugar problems?
Yes. Blood sugar dysregulation is a central focus at Premeditated Health. Many common complaints — fatigue, energy crashes, brain fog, mood swings, sugar cravings, and afternoon slumps — are connected to how your blood sugar is behaving throughout the day. I help clients understand these patterns and provide specific dietary and lifestyle strategies to support more stable blood sugar.
Do I need a diagnosis to work with Premeditated Health?
No diagnosis is required. Many clients come to Premeditated Health because they feel unwell but haven’t found clear answers through conventional medicine. Whether or not you have a formal diagnosis, the focus is on the dietary and lifestyle patterns that may be contributing to your symptoms — and giving you practical tools to address them.
Does Premeditated Health offer online coaching?
Yes. I work with clients both in person in the Peoria, Illinois area and online with clients throughout the United States. Online sessions are conducted via video call and are just as comprehensive as in-person meetings.
How much does nutritional therapy coaching cost?
There are several options depending on what you need:
- Initial Consultation Package — $150: Includes a free discovery call, intake form review, initial meeting, and a follow-up meeting with personalized recommendations. This is where everyone starts.
- Monthly Membership: Ongoing support including unlimited messaging with next business day responses and flexible meeting frequency. Contact me for current pricing.
- Follow-Up Session — $65: For clients who have completed their initial consultation and want periodic check-ins for fresh direction.
A free discovery call is always the first step — no pressure, no commitment.
What should I expect from a free discovery call?
A discovery call is just a real conversation — about what’s going on with your health, what you’ve already tried, and whether working together makes sense. There’s no sales pitch and no obligation. If I think I can help you, I’ll tell you. If I think you’d be better served somewhere else, I’ll tell you that too.
